4 EASY STEPS
1. Book A Survey
2. Application
We highly recommend having a survey done, our friendly engineer will go through a 38 point review of your existing system, where after they will provide any recommendations based on your current electrical system. You will receive a checklist and photos of key items and our quotation.

Our Survey fee is £120 (inc VAT), 50% refunded if you decide to accept our quote and decide to have your charger/s installed by us. Our survey will provide all the details required for any other installer to quote, should you decide to shop around. Click HERE for survey, where we call to arrange a time at your convenience. Dorset EV is authorised by the Government ‘Office Of Zero Emission Vehicle’ or OZEV for short, where qualified applicants are able to claim the government grant. For Home Charge Grant Scheme or Work Place Charge Scheme, we will claim the grant on your behalf up to 75% of the installation cost, up to a maximum of £350 per charger.

Changes to the government grant scheme are coming in soon (estimated to be early 2022) because more people, business’ and premises are becoming eligible.
Provisional timeline for new services:
The chargepoint grant for “residential landlords and management companies” including freeholders or factors of multi-unit properties estimated launch date: mid-late February 2022
The chargepoint grant for “commercial landlords” estimated launch date: mid-late February 2022
The chargepoint grant for “Charities and small accommodation businesses”, will be delivered through the existing WCS portal, estimated launch date: late February 2022
The chargepoint grant for “residential carparks” estimated launch date: March 2022
The chargepoint grant for “SME staff/fleet carparks” estimated launch date: March 2022
The chargepoint grant for “renters and people living in flats” estimated launch date: March 2022

If your supply is inadequate after a survey, we will apply to your Distribution Network Operator (DNO) on your behalf requesting an upgrade on your supply – please note: the DNO may charge for this upgrade.

Upon completion of every installation we will notify the Network Operator on your behalf of your installation.

3. Installation

As a registered NICEIC approved contractor, we are regularly audited to ensure we meet the highest standards, this gives you the reassurance your works will be carried out by skilled and competent staff to the highest quality and regulations.

All installations are fully insured and guaranteed to meet the latest Building and Wiring Regulations and are underwritten by the Platinum Promise for up to 6 years and up to £25,000 of rectification work. All OZEV approved chargers have at least a 3-year warranty, some have a 5-year warranty free of charge, whereas some make a small charge for extra warranty from 3 to 5 years.

We only fit chargers where we have gained approved installer accreditation from manufacturers as to validate their warranty.

4. Warranty
Upon placement of order, our engineer will contact you to arrange a time that suits you. We appreciate some people are out at work all day and find it hard to get cover, therefore we will always try to offer times to meet your needs, and out of normal working hours can be arranged at no extra charge.

If your property has been surveyed, rest assured our engineer will have you up and running in no time. Once installed, our engineer will guide you through the set-up process and how to get the best from your charger, and if you have chosen a smart charger, they will show how to set up and get the best from your energy suppliers price plan. We recommend using an energy supplier that offers off peak discounts.

For our commercial clients, where power outage is critical, we will endeavour to work around your normal working hours, to minimise disruption to your business, leaving final connection to your energy network to the least disruptive time for you, what ever the day or time.
