We at Dorset EV Chargers, believe the customer should always remain in charge of the costs, with no hidden extras. Most installations are unique and can vary greatly, even from houses on the same street. There is a number of variants, therefore it’s not as simple as installing any old charger in.

We truly care about your safety, that’s why we would ideally like to survey every installation we do. It’s a 38-point checklist and afterwards, we can discuss the best possible solution for you, giving you a fixed cost that won’t change, and keeping you in control of your budget and helping you understand constraints and the benefits of going electric. It’s like having a mini health check of your electrics! We charge £120 (inc VAT) for a survey, this allows for travelling, surveying and some tests approx. 1 hour at your property, also compiling a report and quotation unique to you – should you decide to go with our quote, there will be a 50% refund, deducted from your final invoice.

In most cases there are recommendations we would suggest, helping you keep to the British Safety Standards and most importantly keeping you and loved ones safe. These are recommendations only, and not compulsory, unless there is imminent danger.

 

All work is guaranteed for customer satisfaction , insured and endorsed by the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractor (NICEIC), You will also receive an Electrical Installation Certificate (where we will advise of any defects of existing system),  we will also notify your local DNO (Distribution Network Operator) on your behalf, or request a supply or fuse upgrade on your behalf, (there may be additional cost from the DNO for this service) we will also notify Building Control as required in Part P through the Competent Person scheme

If you choose not to undertake a survey, we are able to offer a standard installation cost based on limited materials and product chosen, please beware depending on your existing system, installation may not be possible and a cancellation fee will apply.

All our engineers have undergone rigorous training achieving multiple qualifications from City & Guilds, EAL and others to ensure a quality, safe installation.
